Hotel Poseidon is a small friendly 3 star family owned hotel, built in the 1880s.

Situated in the heart of Gothenburg's city centre, only 2 minutes from the Avenue and 15 minutes from Liseberg, Scandinavium, The Opera house and Svenska Mässan (Exhibition centre).

Newly renovated, we offer first class accommodation in 49 nicely furnished rooms.

A friendly, quaint family owned hotel built in the 1880s, totally refurbished in 2005-2006.

Hotel Poseidon's rooms are all non-smoking, but for those how would like to smoke there is a smoking room on the first floor.

No hassle at any moment.

Making breakfast available until slightly later during morning/day would have been more optimal for me (festival traveller). Otherwise no specific complaints.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel was extremely comfortable. The situation was excellent and within easy walking distance of all main amenities. We will definately stay at this hotel again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

The central heating was a bit hot - coming from Africa we are not used to having the rooms heated to this extent. But we presume with your cold weather it is necessary.

Friendly staff, perfect location (shops and bars at walking distance). We had a room at the back of the hotel and this was very quiet (no street noise).

I think we got value for money in Goteborg, but compared to other countries room rates are high. Some more variation in breakfast would be nice.

The hotel has an excellent location. Near Haga and only about 10 minutes walk to the central coach/railway station station. The breakfast buffet was also excellent!

Decor is a bit dated.
