Welcome to Hotel Stureplan, to this inviting and historic 19th century hotel situated in the heart of Stockholm where excellent service is the minimum standard.

Characterised by elegant interior design our Bollinger Champagnebar will seduce even the most discerning guest.

Our classic rooms are individually decorated in 18th century Gustavian style feature wonderfully high ceilings and stucco features. Much of the specially designed handmade furniture adds a touch of individualism and combines beautifully with the crystal chandeliers which grace the hotel.

Some rooms overlook either the dynamic Birger Jarlsgatan or a peaceful inner courtyard and can include a balcony, bay window or open fire. Upon entering your room you will instantly be aware that every detail has been taken care of.

Light, a sense of space, practical function and tradition are at the foundations of style, a style which needs to be rediscovered.

In an effort to produce the right ambiance we utilised classic Swedish interior design that has been adapted for simpler, more contemporary tastes.

Many of the specially designed pieces of furniture are handmade in Sweden. The crystal chandeliers which grace the hotel are also made in Sweden.

Design is continually evolving and produces new sensations and fashions; these are in a state of flux and the changes are significant. Our focus is upon comfort and the feeling of being “at home”. We understand your desire to enjoy the experiences this stunning capital city has to offer as well as your need for peace and quiet.

Luxury is synonymous with simplicity and tranquility and so we have attempted to produce an oasis amid the hustle and bustle of a vibrant city life.
Function and a feeling of timelessness stand in stark contrast to fashion and rapid change.

Standardized environments would be out of place here so each room is unique.

Our court yard lounge with its spectacular design is popular among both hotel guests and locals. Here we serve a selection of traditional dishes where you can enjoy simple but appetising fare. The primary focus of the lounge is to provide a broad selection of beverages.

If you are searching for an extraordinary gourmet experience then we recommend Pontus Frithiof’s new restaurant, Pontus.

Our exclusive champagne bar is stocked with a vast array bubbly from a numerous vintages, including classics such as Bollinger and Ayala.

The Classic Rooms are decorated in 18th century Gustavian style and complemented by additional contemporary features.

On floors 2-5 they have wonderful high ceilings and stucco features. Some overlook the dynamic Birger Jarlsgatan and others a peaceful inner courtyard. Rooms vary in size from 17 to 40 m² and some offer a balcony, bay window or open fire.

The loft rooms vary in size from 16 to 30 m² and are stylishly decorated with a “less is more” charm. The rooms have highly polished concrete floors, pitched roofs, and skylights that allow light to stream in. Savour the view from these rooms that overlook the rooftops of Stockholm.

I travel 26 weeks a year (at least). These were holidays, not business, but the hotel was perfect. There is nothing bad I can say. Really perfect stay at a reasonable price.

Very well located; rooms beautiful; worked out very well for us to be able to journey into the shopping district, old town or museums and be able to come back for a nap, to leave our purchaes, etc

We had one party of three people and had assumed that if we took a bigger room they would have the capacity to put some kind of cot in there. They didn't so one of the people had to sleep on cushions on the floor using the comforter and towels from the second rom

Central location in the modern part of Stockholm in the middle of the nightlife. perfect area for a cocktail and then a dinner in one of the several restaurants available in that location

No Fitness/Gym. No Spa.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great, literally right in the heart of it all. It was a llitle pricey but I assume all hotels in Europe are that way.

I don't make a whole lof of money so the cost did put a dent in my wallet.
